Readers' Space

Myself first saw the Issue No. 30 of the magazine Alochana Chakra in a footpath bookstall at Bidhannagar. I found it as an extraordinary one in the world of Bengali Little Magazines. It had been an equivalent to the journal of the department of Philosophy of a University. We look forward to such issues rich with critical introduction of the thinkers in the years to come.

Sir, the issues on Literary Theory of the West, Michel Foucault, Frankfurt School were very useful to me in preparing my PhD thesis. I am grateful to you all for your publications. I should also like to inform you that many such researchers have been and will be benefited from the issues and books published by you. You will come to know the real picture if you visit the Little Magazine Library.

I came to know about the magazine Alochana Chakra in terms of the supplement on Violence & Terrorism published in the Issues No. 34 and 35 simultaneously. Then I collected the older issues in which sociological articles were published. Before this, I never came across articles of such critical level in any such non – commercial journal.
